Why did you enrol?
I decided to enrol on the programme because I wanted to further develop my skill set and build on the experience I've gained so far. As I progress in my career, I recognise the importance of continuously learning and expanding my knowledge to take on greater responsibilities and make a bigger impact.
Learning Experience
I found the learning experience both challenging and rewarding. At the beginning, it was difficult to balance the demands of the programme alongside working full time, and it took some time to establish a routine that worked for me. During the course, I also experienced significant personal and professional changes. I moved into my first home, and I was promoted to the role of Reservations, Meetings and Events Manager. While these milestones were incredibly positive, they also meant I had to manage competing priorities and adapt to new challenges. Despite this, the endless support from my Skills Coach (Diana Brady) was invaluable. The guidance and encouragement I received helped me stay focused, overcome obstacles, and continue making progress throughout the programme. Looking back, the experience has not only strengthened my knowledge and skills but has also improved my resilience, time management, and confidence in balancing multiple responsibilities.
Impact
The programme has had a significant impact on me both personally and professionally. It has expanded my knowledge, strengthened my skills, and given me greater confidence in my role. Being able to apply what I learned in the workplace has helped me develop as a manager and contribute more effectively to my team. One of the biggest outcomes of the programme was my promotion to Reservations, Meetings and Events Manager.
Highlight
One of the biggest highlights of the programme was achieving a Distinction.
Recommendation
Yes, I would recommend the programme to anyone looking to develop their skills and progress in their career. It provides valuable knowledge, practical experience, and the opportunity to apply what you learn directly in the workplace. I found that it had a positive impact on both my confidence and my professional development. However, I would also say that it is a significant commitment. Balancing the programme alongside a full-time job and other personal responsibilities can be challenging, so it requires good time management and dedication. While there were times when it was difficult, the experience and the opportunities it created for me made it well worth the effort.

Why did you enrol?
I was prompted to a leadership role, which required that I undertake additional training.
Learning Experience
I found the training very informative and liked the structure of the workshops (with regular breakouts for discussion and collaboration). Heather was an incredibly supportive coach, and infinitely patient, as I struggled to properly allocate time for my assignments and got very behind, doing the bulk of them in the final months before assessment.
Impact
I felt it gave me a great insight to reasoning and psychology behind leadership approaches and decisions. Having that foundational knowledge has really helped me when approaching difficult discussions. I have since been promoted to Assistant Design Office Manager, which is undoubtedly a product of putting the training into good practice.
Highlight
I think one of the key moments for me was the 360-degree feedback. When I got the results, I found that I had rated myself lower in every metric than any of the respondents; across the board, my peers, managers, and colleagues saw me as more capable and competent than I saw myself. As a result, one of the key elements of my personal development and growth has been to develop my self-confidence by being mindful of my achievements and doubting myself less. I'm also careful to acknowledge when members of my team do well, to ensure they recognise their own strengths as well.
Recommendation
Absolutely, I think the topics covered are insightful and useful in a leadership role and feel I have become a better team leader and manager as a result.

Why did you enrol?
I have seen the best opportunity to enrich my knowledge, skills, understanding and behavior and be more professional in my future HR career.
Learning Experience
I have been lucky with my skills coach (I had three skills coaches for the duration of the program), as they are the most helpful and supportive people. They all make me believe in myself and succeed in my professional career as an HR assistant. They make me dive deep and understand the needs of the business. How, when and where the evidence-based decision needs to be made, therefore I can prove my competence and professionalism.
Impact
I have achieved a lot of personal goals with this program. I have enhanced my knowledge, confidence, my English (not my first language) writing and reading are up to the standards for HR professional. Professionally, the program provided essential information like analyzing, collecting, processing, communicating, and protecting HR information, which is a crucial element of developing key skills, knowledge and behavior as an HR professional. I have used all this important information to demonstrate and complete tasks and projects of high importance for the business.
Highlight
One of the moments which I will never forget is when my manager passed me feedback from my skills coach. The feedback was so positive for me as a person and professional and business asset. Ellen made me feel so proud of myself and what I managed to achieve so far within the program. This was simple but very important feedback!

Why did you enrol?
I had recently become a manager and although I had lead projects in the past, being responsible for permanent team was still quite new to me. I came across the Nine Dots Development apprenticeship and thought I would strengthen my skills.
Learning Experience
My skills coach (Roy) was amazing! After each workshop, he gave me a chance to process the class before fully checking my understanding and helping me with any queries that I had along the way. The virtual classes were cool because there were breakout sessions, where I could work with other people from different industries in the same position that I was in.
Impact
The programme helped me to understand other people and how my actions could impact them. I had never really thought about learning and personality styles in the past. Not only did I find this interesting, it also practically helped me to engage my team in train and conflict resolution.
Highlight
The programme helped me to keep track of my own personal development and set SMART goals to help me grow.

The quality of instruction was exceptional. The tutors I had were incredibly knowledgeable, approachable, and always on hand to provide constructive feedback and encouragement when needed. They really took the time to ensure I understood the material and felt confident building my portfolio. Margaret, who was absolutely instrumental in helping me complete my apprenticeship course. Quite simply, I couldn’t have done it without her! Margaret’s guidance throughout the entire process was top-tier. She provided invaluable support with my portfolio building, ensuring everything was structured clearly and met the highest standard. Her guidance on post-course work kept me on track, focused, and motivated every step of the way. Where Margaret truly shone was during my End-Point Assessment (EPA) prep. My CEO suggested it for me as a route for development. I had applied for a management role within my organisation but unfortunately was not successful due to a lack of experience. Learning Experience
I've found the learning experience positive so far. The workshops were really enjoyable and it was good to meet other people from other industries and discuss how we can apply what we have learnt so far to our different roles.
Impact

Highlight

Why did you enrol?
I was enrolled as part of the company growing line leads and managers so we are all singing off the same hymn sheet, to grow talent internally and to progress in our current roles.
Learning Experience
The learning was well delivered and interactive which brings in constant learning rather than reading material that is forgotten within a period of time. the application of the learning especially for leadership and management is not theoretical in full the application is the learning, the repeated application is habit.
Impact
It has given me a better structure and starting base for what systems, approaches are best for specific areas across management of teams including conflict and coaching.
Highlight
The exam is always good as gets to put all the theory to the test.
Recommendation
I would recommend companies to look at internal candidates and send as a group so lessons learned can be systematic.

Why did you enrol?
I decided to enrol on the Level 5 Operational Manager Apprenticeship because I wanted to develop my leadership and management skills and become a more effective manager. In my role as a Senior Quality Manager, I have responsibility for leading teams, managing projects, solving problems, and working with stakeholders across the business. I saw the programme as an opportunity to strengthen these skills, gain a recognised qualification, and apply what I learned to improve processes, support my team, and contribute to the organisation’s success.
Learning Experience
Overall, I had a good experience with the programme. The workshops were interesting and easy to follow. I learned many new things that I could use in my daily work as a Senior Quality Manager. Another important moment was when my Skills Coach gave me positive feedback about my progress. It made me feel more confident and showed me that I was improving my management skills. For me, the biggest lesson from the programme was understanding that being a good manager is not only about doing the job well. It is also about listening to people, supporting the team, and making good decisions together.
